Sudhir Mishra is presenting a one of its kind suspense thriller titled 'Sikandar' this March. The film stars Parzaan Dastur, the adorable little Sardar from film 'Kuchh Kuchh Hota Hai', now in his teens, Ayesha Kapur of 'Black' Fame as she makes her come back as a lead actress this time along with R. Madhavan, Sanjay Suri & Arunoday Singh in key roles.

The film has been written and directed by Piyush Jha. Ayesha Kapur, Piyush Jha and Sudhir Mishra shared their experiences with regards to 'Sikandar' with media, here today. The film is ready to thrill the audiences worldwide in theaters on March 27, 2009. 'Sikandar' is a co-production between BIG Pictures with Sudhir Mishra's production house -CineRaas Ltd

'Sikandar' is a film about a young boy who has a dream to play football for the National team. It's about his aspirations and challenges and how his life unfolds when one fine day he finds a GUN on his way to school and what follows.  Sikandar is a suspense thriller, which also deals with the exploitation and manipulation of innocent people in a place which has witnessed decades of violence and insurgency.

Maverick script writer, director-actor, and Sikandar's Co-producer, Sudhir Mishra says, "This is a moving story which is well told in a style of suspense thriller. Sikandar is not a complex film; it's a simple tale which is not about intensions and messages. In the end it's a source of entertainment and that's what you will get. My experience with BIG was very good. It went without any delays and people at BIG were so professional and sensitive to the film. Sikandar is one of the few films that have been shot entirely in Kashmir."

Ayesha Kapur feels it nice to work with someone of her own age and says, "It was great to work with Parzan, we became good friends. I liked the story and the script a lot. And I thought that I could play the character quite well. Besides it had been quite some time I had done a film so I was very excited to play this role. I was also looking forward to shoot in Kashmir which was so exceptionally beautiful."

Commenting on his latest venture, Director Piyush Jha says, "I wanted to attract the masses and reach out to them and make it a relevant cinema. So it's not a documentary or a boring depiction of Kashmir rather it's an interesting suspense thriller. The subject is very relevant for both kids and adults. Especially kids as it directly affect them. The young minds today are forced to do things which are not of their understanding. It's very important to understand why they are lured off from the path of good. So for me it became more important to have kids as protagonists and it's also important for the parents to see the film and understand their kids better."

The music of the film has been scored by Sandesh Shandiliya, Justin-Uday & Shankar - Ehsaan – Loy where the lyrics have been contributed by Prasoon Joshi, Neelesh Misra and Kumaar.
