Plot

The film is about the rise of Rambhi (Shabana Azmi) from a housewife to a powerful politician. Rambhi and husband Veeran (Milind Gunaji) arrive in the city displaced by a drought. Veeran emerges leader of his Mer community to become Sarpanch aided by a cunning lawyer Keshubhai (Govind Namdeo). Keshubhai uses him for his own purposes till Veeran learns of his corruption.
