Vivek Shauq was born at Chandigarh, a beautiful and clean city situated in the state of Punjab on 21st June, 1963. A qualified mechanical engineer because fo sheer passion for acting and theater I shifted my career to Acting.
After gaining popularity and acclaim from theater I extented my feild of action to TV, my first TV appearance was on Jalandhar Doordarshan in 1982, One of the best thing happened in my TV career is my association with Mr.Jaspal Bhatti. Since 1985 I acted in all his serials, like Ulta Pulta, Flop Show, Full Tesion etc., and I am happy those serial brought me more close to my fans.
My first feature film (in main lead role) Barsaat Ki Raat released on 13th March,1998. Since then almost 50 films have been released.
I am fortunate that I got the chance to work with some of the very reputed Producers, Directors and Actors in the span of 10yrs. e.g.: Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, Mr. Rishi Kapoor, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgan, Vivek Oberoi, Suniel Shetty and Akshaye Khanna.
Directors like: Subhash Ghai, Abbas Mastan, Raj Kanwar, Rakesh Roshan, Anil Sharma, Kundan Shah, Vikram Bhatt, Umesh Mehra, Manmohan Singhji (Punjabi Films) and Jaspal Bhatti.
Some of the TV commercials I have done are HCL Computers, Vasmol, Nokia CDMA, Clorets and CP Plywood.
