Kitu Gidwani is a famous Indian model and actress. She is a Sindhi by birth. She has starred in some movies as well as serials in Indian television.
She studied in Fort Convent School. Her graduation days saw her interested in French and she started acting in French plays. Soon she was acting in English plays directed by Janak Toprani. She acted in some television serials and subsequently acted in a French film "Black".
Kitu Gidwani began her film career with several short films which won prestigious national awards. She went on to a premier role in her first feature Rukhmavati Ki Haveli (1992).She recently appears in multi-starrer hindi serial called "Kulvadhu".
Her role of Pallavi in "Dance of the Wind" (dir. Rajan Khosa)(1997) won a slew of awards world-wide, including Most Popular Film at the Channel 4 / Guardian Awards and Best Actress at Nantes in December 1997.
She was roped in by Wills lifestyle, an apparel chain owned by ITC Limited, to promote Wills Sport Lifestyle brand of clothing in 2001.
