Cyrus Sahukar Biography

About Cyrus Sahukar

Cyrus Sahukar was born in the military headquarters of MHOW, Indore. His father, Behram Sahukar, a Colonel, is a Parsi whereas his mother, Nimeran Sahukar, a writer, is a Punjabi, which gives him half Punjabi and half Parsi lineage. He grew up in Delhi and did his schooling from St Columbus.

Cyrus started doing theatre in school and acted in various school plays from the age of 6.
He has worked with major theatre personalities like Barry John, Stephen Marazzi. He also was a part of Kiran Bedi's 'Literacy Mission Program,' where the school students would perform plays and educational skits for the inmates of Tihar Jail.

By the age of 16, he was hosting a radio show called 'Radio Rampage' in Delhi. Around the same time he worked on the production and acted in Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'Starlight Express' and 'Graffiti Postcards from School,' both plays directed by Roshan Abbas.
At the age of 18 Cyrus won a famous VJ Hunt & went on to become one of the most loved VJs of the country known for his sharp humour and wit.

He has also appeared in movies like Rang De Basanti, Delhi 6 and Aisha.

Cyrus is the quintessential bachelor who has little or no idea about what it takes to run a home. He has no idea what it takes to keep a kitchen running, getting a child to stop crying, the skills involved in negotiating a tantrum or staying up the night tending to a fever. This show will also be a journey of discovery for Cyrus as he finds that the role of a wife involves much more than putting food on the table. When he sees the men struggle at their tasks or the women share their concerns, his eyes will open to the reality of their lives as well.
